Most of the dose that you will get comes from space or the Earth. Cosmic radiation passes through all of us all the time. The rest is from small amounts of radioactive material in dirt, water, food, and just about everything. In you daily life, unless you work with radiation material, man made products don't really contribute to you average dose (although getting an x-ray will give you a relatively big dose).
